Suset Hair in Merida – This particular hair transformation presented ANNIE and I with multiple challenges. The client requested a tri-transitional color going from Fire Red to Burnt Orange to Vibrant Yellow. First we had to lighten the hair with Pravana’s Power Lightener to give us a slow lift which maintains the integrity of the hair. When it comes to lightening remember the mantra, slow and steady wins the race. To give us extra insurance for the hair and to repair those broken disulfide bonds, we added Olaplex to our formula. After reaching a very pale yellow, think the inside of a banana peel, we wash and dry the hair using Olaplex Shampoo and Conditioner, including a 10 minute Olaplex No. 2 treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After drying the hair, we applied our first direct dye (red) 3 cms from the root, followed by the second (orange) and third shade (yellow).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After processing for 30 minutes we simply rinse with cold water without shampoo for longevity and dry and style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This process took us 5 hours but by taking our time, not skipping any steps, and using Olaplex every step of the way our clients’ hair actually came out shinier and healthier than before we started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
